Kitch and Honey A/W 11 Press Event - Soho house

Kitch and Honey PR company launched their A/W 11 collection on Tuesday 6th April at Soho House, Greek St, London.

I entered the building guiding myself down some winding wooden steps into the basement to be greeted by the beautiful Kitch and Honey team. Two rooms were set out displaying their clients latest A/W 11 collections, names of like Kristian Aadnevik and Pretportobello were arranged for people to view, touch and try on.

The team were great and allowed me to handle several of their clients pieces. The diversity of designing gener was certianly a strong point, ranging from coats of green rabbit fur to naturaly dyed jeans. Below are several of my favourite pieces from the press day with more follow ups coming soon!

Kristian Aadnevik was certainly a designer who caught my eye. The eclectic mix of fur, leather and wovens was certainly sweets for the eye! These fabric mixes gave me a rebellious feel with a certain grungy essence from the leather straps and metal studs.

The photo shoot styling created a very strong sexual independence for whoever was to wear these items.

This coat was my first eye catcher. Naturally dyed rabbit fur - stunning. With the leather sleeves - inciting. The cut of the fur would elongate a models body more so than cutting it as regular coat pattern. The collar is the crown of the piece, with three rolls of fabric to highlight the face.

This print has a strong power and strength to it. Colours are intense and the hand clutching the cross, to me, symbolises control and independence. Certainly a strong character would be wearing this T-shirt.

Bellinskis' collection of colourful swimwear and day wear was also delightful visual shock to the eyes.

Mix of chains and flowers reminds me of the clash between nature and the modernising world. Colour palette uses traditional autumn colours with dashes of blue giving more depth to the piece.

Natural Selection is already an established brand in the renowned department store, Selfridges. Although this is one of the more commercially aimed collections it still offers a unique selling point. The jeans are all naturally hand dyed from various plant sources, producing a stunning range of earthy colours that are rarely seen in the current jean climate, potentially the beginnins of a new colour trend.

Quirky finishings are also added to the garments, the little details are always the most important!

Axel Martin was a new designers name for me. His key area is handsomely made cashmere hoodies crafted all the way Florence, Italy. A cleverly picked colour palette consisting of a range of naturals as well as yellows, pinks or purples depending on how daring you are when you purchase one of these pieces. However my camera did not take any adequate photos in displaying how fantastic these garments are, therefor I have posted an image from his website along with the link below. Enjoy browsing!

The presentation and location was superbly executed with welcoming service to top it all off. View Kitch and Honey website to view more incredible clients they support.
